Is AERA a car or a motorcycle?
Neither. AERA has four wheels, two seats and an enclosed cabin, plus handlebars and a chassis that tilts up to 35° into corners. It’s classed as an L5e motor tricycle.
Can I drive AERA with a standard car license?
Rules vary by country. In France, you must be at least 21, have held a car license for two years and complete seven hours of training. Exemptions may apply.
Can AERA move through traffic like a motorcycle?
Where local rules allow lane splitting, yes. At 79 cm wide, AERA is about as narrow as a motorcycle.
Can I park AERA in motorcycle parking?
Where local rules allow, yes. AERA fits in most motorcycle spaces.
How far can AERA go on a charge?
Up to 200 km with the fixed long-range battery. A removable battery option is planned, with up to 80 km of range, for shorter daily use.
When will AERA be available?
First deliveries are expected at the end of 2027, starting in France. Reserve now to secure your place in the first series to be delivered in your region.
