Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how AEMOTION collects and uses your personal data when you visit ae-motion.com, design your AERA, reserve a place in the first leasing series, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us. It also explains your rights and how to use them.
We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) and the French Data Protection Act (Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as amended).
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is EV4 France, the publisher of this website (see the Legal notice above).

2. What data we collect and why
We only collect the data we need for each purpose.
Reserving a place in the first AERA leasing series (€149 pre-order) — Data: First name, last name, email, phone, country, your AERA configuration (if you designed one), consents. Billing address and payment details are collected by our payment provider Stripe (see section 4) · Legal basis: Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
Managing your reservation: confirmation email, receipt, updates about your reservation, test-day invitations, your leasing offer when it becomes available, refunds — Data: Same as above, plus reservation status, payment reference and refund status · Legal basis: Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Optional questionnaire after reserving (how you travel, daily distance, license, intended use) — Data: Your answers · Legal basis: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). It is optional and has no effect on your reservation

Required fields are marked on each form. If you don’t provide them, we can’t process your reservation or reply to your request.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that have legal or similarly significant effects.
3. Cookies
Analytics and advertising tools only run after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie icon at the bottom of every page. More details are in our Cookie Policy.
4. Who receives your data
Your data is accessible to authorized AEMOTION staff who need it for the purposes above. We also use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf and under our instructions:
Framer B.V. — What they do for us: Website hosting · Location: Netherlands (EU)
Cloudflare, Inc. — What they do for us: Server functions that pass form data to Brevo and Stripe without storing it; spam protection (Turnstile) · Location: United States, with servers worldwide
Sendinblue SAS (Brevo) — What they do for us: Customer database, confirmation emails and newsletter · Location: France (EU)
Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.) — What they do for us: Payment processing and refunds · Location: Ireland (EU), with transfers to the United States
Google Ireland Ltd. — What they do for us: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, only with your consent · Location: Ireland (EU), with transfers to the United States
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — What they do for us: Meta pixel for advertising measurement, only with your consent · Location: Ireland (EU), with transfers to the United States
Stripe processes payment data partly as an independent controller, under its own privacy policy, in particular for fraud prevention and its legal obligations.
We never sell your personal data. We may disclose it to authorities when the law requires it.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
Some providers above are based in, or transfer data to, the United States. These transfers are protected by the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified, and otherwise by the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission. You can request a copy of these safeguards by contacting us.
6. Security
We and our providers take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access and secure payment handling. AEMOTION never sees or stores your full card details.
7. How long we keep your data
Reservation data — Kept for: For the duration of your reservation and any lease that follows, then 3 years after our last contact with you
Payment and invoicing records — Kept for: 10 years, as required by French accounting law
Newsletter subscription — Kept for: Until you unsubscribe. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email on a suppression list only to make sure you are not contacted again
Enquiries (contact, fleet, investor, press) — Kept for: 3 years after our last contact with you
Questionnaire answers — Kept for: As long as your reservation data
Analytics data — Kept for: 14 months
Your cookie choice — Kept for: Until you change it or clear your browser data
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
access your personal data and receive a copy of it;
correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
erase your data, where the law allows;
restrict how we process your data;
object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and at any time to direct marketing;
data portability, for data you provided based on consent or a contract;
withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter through the link in every email, and change your cookie choice through the cookie icon at the bottom of every page;
give instructions about what happens to your data after your death, as provided by French law.
To exercise these rights, email contact@ae-motion.com or write to EV4 France, 87 rue de la Picardière, 01300 Virignin, France. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will reply within one month.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, www.cnil.fr), or with the authority in your country of residence.
9. Minors
Reservations are only open to adults (18 or older). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we add a new service or tool. The date at the top shows the latest version. If the changes are significant, we will inform you by email or on the website.
